Reply Issue Fixed - The Sustainability Network Launch

Hello again all!

It seems that some recipients had an issue replying to the welcome email that we sent out at the end of last week - apologies for that and the issue has been fixed.

If you replied to that email with requests/ideas for speaking topics, questions about membership, or anything else in general, please reply here again and we’ll be in touch.

I’ve included the welcome email below again for reference to launch date, speakers, membership, etc. in case anyone missed it. Thank you and I’m looking forward to connecting with you all live next month!

Best,

Max P Frank

Founder - The Sustainability Network

WELCOME EMAIL:

Hi Everyone,

This is Max Frank, founder of The Sustainability Network.

I’d first like to express my enormous gratitude to you all for your interest in TSN, the overwhelming support since announcement, and for joining our waitlist. The response was even greater than I had hoped for and it’s a privilege to be connecting with all of you - can’t wait to begin meeting you all live on TSN soon!

Due to some personal events and extended travel coming up, we’ve decided to shift our launch date to Thursday, July 18th - just over a month away. TSN is going to be highly interactive on a daily basis across the community and we want to ensure a smooth ramp period once we launch.

That said, I hope to provide as much detail as possible with this email as far as membership, expert speakers, how we’ll stay connected, etc., so you all know what to expect in July!

Monthly guest speakers:

We have a growing lineup of eager and credentialed experts from across various areas of sustainability, which includes the following people:

  • Michael Bradshaw, PhD

    • Professor of Global Energy at Warwick Business School UK

  • Courtney Holm, MBA

    • Sustainability Strategy Executive; ranked Top 10 Women in Sustainability and Top Corporate Sustainability Voice on LinkedIn

    • Former Unilever Global Head of Sustainable Technology

  • Mike Matson, PhD

    • Chemistry with a focus on Nanomaterials & Material Science

    • Associate Director at Boston Consulting Group and leader of their Carbon Capture (CCUS) team

  • ESG Recruiting professionals from the likes of ACRE, the big four, BCG, Bain

  • Many more to be announced before we launch

The first guest speaker will join us in July. In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you all as to topics you’re interested in hearing about from speakers, from this list or others in the future. I have a great network of sustainability experts so we should be able to line up a speaker for most areas - please email me back to let me know.

How will TSN stay connected?

We’ve built out a dedicated Slack channel which you will gain access to once you become a TSN member. Slack will be our home, where we go to share and gain topic-specific knowledge; to chat, collaborate and brainstorm challenges we’re facing in expanding our sustainability impact; to find new career opportunities and postings via the community we create here; and to generally expand our networks. The Slack channel will include various sub-channels across key areas including:

  • Circular economy

  • Decarbonization levers

  • Renewable energy strategy

  • Social equity

  • Sustainable supply chain

  • GHG emissions tracking & reporting

  • Global ESG regulation

  • Climate risk mitigation

  • Climate tech initiatives

Membership (North America & Europe):

You may have seen the FAQ on our landing page about membership cost and our deliberation process around whether to charge for TSN. If you missed it, you can find it here at the last FAQ on the page. You all are getting in at the ground floor and helping us build, for which we couldn’t be more appreciative, and will receive our Founders Rate of $19 per month for life. This rate will be valid for the first week from launch date until 11:59pm ET on Thursday, July 25th, 2024. After this, standard monthly membership will be $29.

Outside North America & Europe: We will adjust membership costs to the regional economy in which you reside and work if you are outside of North America and Europe, to ensure we are as inclusive as possible for all who want to join from across the globe. Please respond to this email with your geography and LinkedIn profile and we will adjust costs based on World Bank global income averages.

Students: We will also be offering an educational rate - we simply need a snap of your current student ID sent to us via email and a code will be shared with the student rate.

If you have questions on any of the above or desire further detail, please get in touch - I’m very excited to hear from you and to get rolling in just a few weeks! Based on the response to launch, it’s clear so many of us are seeking a community such as this.

END
